Welcome Changes plus my new Vintage Denim Ruffle dress

Hello!!! I just wanted to share some exciting new changes coming to Fleur L'enfant this year.  Oh, and a look at my new dress coming to my website soon.

Keeping the business small and keeping it FUN!  This year there are many positive changes coming to Fleur L'enfant.  With our children growing up so quickly and busier than ever with school, sports and friends, I have made the decision to scale back on my sewing to spend more time with them. 

When I started sewing children's clothing 11 years ago, I was sewing up one or two dresses a month, that gradually that increased more and more over the years.  I looked into manufacturing last year to keep up with demand.  After extensive research, I realized it would take too much time away from my family and they are growing up much too fast.  Growing my business had become more than a full-time job when my true passion is taking care of my growing family.

I am focusing on my family and my love for cooking, photography and decorating. I will blog from time to time some favorite recipes, decorating ideas, and of course, my handmade clothing. 

All of my listings will be readymade and handcrafted, not manufactured (some that have been in the works for months) but will no longer be taking custom orders. Some designs will be  one-of-a-kinds that I was inspired to make ~ just once, not a dozen times.  My mailing list subscribers will be the first  to know about new listings and sales so don't forget to join.

I am really thrilled to share these changes with you and excited about my new journey :)

okay, now, here a picture of the dress my little Emma will be modeling soon for my website......we have the sweetest match leggings too!  There will only be a very limited amount of these and they are finally finished which means they will ship out right away.  The trim is imported and GORGEOUS!  layers and layers of denim, trim and ruffled fabric. I spent lots of time on each and every one of these and hope you love them!  I designed new embroidered labels, see the little crown? Love crowns!

My favorite gifts are always the homemade ones...........these take the most thought and time.  Don't you just love a fresh batch of cookies? homemade pie?  A dear friend of mine made a beautiful tote bag for me last year and just knowing the time that went into it was so special.  It's truly one of my favorite gifts. 

My daughter Abigail (12) created these beautiful ornaments for us this Christmas.  Mr. and Mrs. Claus.............we will treasure these forever.  She got the inspiration here, on Martha Stewart.com.  Mrs. Clause even has ice skates :)  inspired by Abigails love for hockey maybe?

Upcoming Photoshoot

Preparing to do a photoshoot soon for our special occasion Luxe mini-collection and our barn will be the perfect setting, just as long as it's not too chilly! Built in the mid 1700's, it's rustic charm lends itself beautifully to the warm, vintage inspired designs we are known for.

Went antiquing the other day and came across some great vintage pieces at a local antique shop that I can't wait to use in this shoot.

Just finishing up a second dress for the collection. These dresses are going to be perfect for weddings & other special events. Here is a little peek at the first dress which was made without a pattern using the most beautiful ruffle fabric in blush.

Lately, I have just been "crazy" for crowns! Look at this sweet one that Blooming Hairlooms
designed!!!

Shopping this week I picked up a few crowns for my home....look at these sweet crowns, perfect for holiday entertaining and decorating.

oh..........and how about this crown I picked up........it holds a votive candle and gives a nice warm glow! Perfect on a stack of books, old and new.

I've got my eye on a few more pieces for the home too!
